Robert Luciani – AI & Data Advisor | The AI Framework

Robert is first and foremost a jazz-fusion composer, but with a deep background in formal logic and computer science. He has worked on everything from open-source Unix kernel programming, to architecting enterprise cloud environments at Microsoft, and developing original AI-driven products as an entrepreneur. With nearly two decades of experience in hands-on development of disruptive technologies in enterprise environments, Robert currently provides executive advisory services through The AI Framework to help others make a successful leap into the future.

Danijela Horak – Head of AI Research, BBC R&D | BBC

Danijela Horak is a mathematician and machine learning expert who currently works as the Head of Machine Learning at BBC, R&D. She leads a team of researchers and engineers to develop cutting-edge AI solutions and conduct innovative research in the fields of computer vision, natural language processing, speech-to-text transcription, and recommender systems. Before joining BBC, she worked as the Director of Machine Learning at AIG, where she led a global team of machine learning scientists to deliver state-of-the-art AI solutions for the AI-first CRE products. She also has experience in compression algorithms, compressive sensing, wavelets, and topological data analysis from her previous position. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences and has published papers on topics such as stochastic algebraic topology, random manifolds, topic modelling, evaluation of generative models, etc.

Luka Crnkovic-Friis – Head of AI/ML | King

With over 20 years of experience in artificial intelligence (AI), Luka Crnkovic-Friis is a Swedish engineer and entrepreneur. He co-founded Peltarion, an AI platform company, in 2004 and led it as CEO until its acquisition by King in 2022. He now serves as the Vice President and Head of AI/ML at King, where he aims to establish a world-class AI center in Sweden. He has also advised various sectors, from government and law to business and technology, on AI-related matters and helped start up various national and international AI organizations.

Anders Broo – Head of Data Science & Modeling, Pharmaceutical Sciences | AstraZeneca

Anders is a successful leader in Pharmaceutical Research demonstrated by delivering a large number of projects through critical decision points both in the pharmaceutical industry as well as in the automotive industry. In his current role he strives to transform how pharmaceutical development is done by exploring more of the available design space in the computer before an experiment is performed in the wet lab. By using artificial intelligence to explore historical data and mechanistic modelling in the virtual lab drug development will be accelerated and increase confidence in decision making. Anders have 26 years of industry experience and 10 years of academic research experience in the field of data science and modeling. Anders has a PhD in Theoretical and Physical Chemistry.

Dr. Kjell Carlsson – Head of Data Science Strategy & Evangelism | Domino Data Lab

Dr. Kjell Carlsson is the head of data science strategy and evangelism at Domino Data Lab where he advises organizations on how to drive business outcomes with artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. Previously, he covered AI, ML, and data science as a Principal Analyst at Forrester Research where he wrote reports on topics ranging from computer vision, MLOps, AutoML, and conversation intelligence to augmented intelligence, next-generation AI technologies, and data science best practices. He has spoken in countless keynotes, panels, and webinars, and is frequently quoted in the media. He is also the new host of the Data Science Leaders podcast. Carlsson received his Ph.D. in Business Economics from the Harvard Business School.

Kristof Neys – Director Graph Data Science | Neo4j

“Ask me anything about neo4j and applications of graph databases and graph data science” – and I probably have the answer.
Kristof is Director Graph Data Science Technology in the Field Engineering team at Neo4j, the leading graph technology platform, where he advises on and implements graph data science solutions for Neo4j’s clients. He is also currently pursuing a PhD in Graph Machine Learning at the University of London, Birkbeck. Kristof holds a MSc in Mathematics and a MSc in Data Science from the University of London. Prior to joining Neo4j Kristof had a 20 year career in Fixed Income Sales & Trading at some of the major investment banks in London.
